 The Badge of Life program is dedicated to
the mental health and well-being of officers and spouses at
all ranks. We believe that it’s not “just” about suicide, and
that for every officer who takes his/her own life, there are a
thousand more officers who continue working while suffering
from years of trauma and pain. The purpose of the officers,
retired officers and professionals of Badge of Life is to help
officers be prepared
for stress and trauma BEFORE they happen, rather than waiting until it’s too late and an officer slides to the
brink of suicide.

support the law enforcement profession and its survivors.

Emergency Service Worker and their families have access to support teams after being involved in a critical incident. The Peer
Support Team concept is a team of officers who have been involved in their own critical incident and are trained to assist their peers
through the process of coming to terms with the incident. The Familiy Support Team concept is a team of officer's families that also
have been affected by the critical incident and are trained to offer support in a unique way.
