this is the story of my life! i'm so used to it now that i tell other couples where they have to sit when we go out together! glad i'm not alone!

if on your way to the airport to pick up your parents, your DH calls frantically and tells you to turn around immediately because the airport has heightened security and is searching vehicles and he forgot his AR-15 in the back seat of the truck....oops!

if you get a call at 2 a.m. with your DH yelling excitedly that he just tazed somebody for his first time.....and you get excited with him.

Your house alarm goes off while you are not there and 2 units check out your house just to call you on your cell and tell you they left you a pink slip. Knowing that if you get 3 pink slips you pay a fee. Yet when you get home the pink slip in your door way is covered with HALRIOUS: "lock up your ****!", "I helped myself to some cookies on the table", and "I want a copy of the new family photo!"

You can hear your toddler in another room talking to himself and you walk in to catch him having a full on conversation with the pd radio scanner! Hah...soooo funny.

You have your heart set on "lunch" at 8pm with your dh only to have him cancel right as your walking out the door.

You have a huge dry erase calendar in the kitchen--to figure where he is and when he will be home. Between regular duty and extra duty....if I didn't have the calendar I would have no clue where he is!

When he says "Justin (fellow police officer) and I got this under control" in his sleep.

When the house makes noises and he automatically pulls out his gun and sneaks around cornors to investigate.

When he inspects the entire church while the bride walks down the aisle at a family wedding!!

When he calls me in the middle of the night to tell me how excited he was to slam someone into the ground and how awesome it was to be in a high speed chase.
